Greetings, January 2006 Welcome to our updated website for 2006. I hope you enjoy exploring our gardening pages. There will be much here to interest gardeners with curious minds. Gardening is our passion. Or maybe I should say that creating beauty is our passion. For 30 years this passion has tuned into a way of life that abides and delights in natural splendor. There is much that has changed for me in this first month of the New Year. I am now living in beautiful Blowing Rock, North Carolina. Leaving the Blue Ridge mountains of Loudoun County, VA after 30 years is a big step for me. Blowing Rock is in the Appalachian Mountains. The beauty of this area attracted me, along with it’s waterfalls, hiking trails and parks. I have been considering this move for quite a while, but when it happened it was as though I was sucked into a vortex of swift energy, that gently landed me here. How funny I landed at the base of a historic property. The Moses Cone National park and Mansion. It makes me anxious for spring so that I can discover more about this magical place I now find myself in.
I thought that the new life of this garden designer should include a new website. I am looking forward to developing a garden Blog on this site as my web building talents allow. We will continue to keep our clients informed about the Nursery in Paeonian Springs, VA and the wonders and happenings there with our Newsletters.
The gardening articles published in the Loudoun Times Mirror will be in the archives section. Please enjoy the portfolio of our garden creations and projects. We have enjoyed this aspect of our business the most. Many Thanks to those of you who are contacting me for garden design and coaching. That’s what I do best!
Though I have moved away from friends and family, I get the feeling I will see them often. When my gardener daughters saw where I was, they fell in love with the area too. Visiting will not be hard or boring. Morgan already brought home a truckload of Appalachian twig furniture for the Garden Shop. She ran her seed orders by me and I heartily approved. Her husband Donnie donated his old office space to her and she is looking forward to feeling much more efficient with enough space to do the office work sanely.
The New Year brought our family so much change, we recognize that it was a smooth transition and meant to be. We all look forward to what we manifest this spring with our creative winter dreaming/planning time. I do remind myself and you all to dream BIG! Like the hints of how big nature will become in spring while I walk around Bass Lake I remember … nature doesn’t dream small, why should we?
Enjoy!
